Refined, concentrated, maturity.
Established in 2001, with a first vintage in 2003, Noble Ridge Vineyard & Winery is located on 24-acres in Okanagan Falls and is owned by Jim and Leslie D'Andreas. This The One Grand Reserve is one of six sparkling wines they currently have in their portfolio.
It's a traditional Method Sparkling Brut this outstanding offering is made of Chardonnay (78%) and Pinot Noir (22%), which was cellared for 66 months en tirage (on lees).
Showing maturity the 2017 veers into apple turnovers and pineapple, bread dough, hazelnut burnt caramel and Meyer lemons. Excellent concentration and balance with classic vintage Champenois autolytic/bread doughy flavours with a zesty sort of mineral character bordering on nutty. It has notable length and refinement with a fine and creamy mousse.
A bargain at this price.
